Directed by Ol Parker
Starring George Clooney, Julia Roberts, Kaitlyn Dever
I wanted to see this movie because of the cast and because it looked like fun. I knew what to expect it was all a matter of seeing if the film would deliver what I expected.
David and Georgia are formerly married and don’t get along, they only get together for things regarding their daughter Lilly. But when Lilly decides to marry a boy she just met in Bali, they form a truce to stop their daughter.
I have to say that I got what I expected. It was a fun movie where I laughed and had a good enough story. I thought it was a bit predictable but this genre of film that does not spoil a film for me most of the time. The characters were all likable so that is always good. There ain’t much to say about the film because it is a plain story but I found the film both funny and moving in terms of the family story.
Julia and George were good together. Kaitlyn Dever also shines as Lilly and the rest of the cast all do what the picture needs.
When it comes to these movies it all comes down to if you had fun, and I did have fun as I saw the film.
