Blazing Saddles (1974)

Directed by Mel Brooks

Starring Gene Wilder, Cleavon Little, Slim Pickens, Madeline Khan,

When it comes to comedy films, Mel Brooks is among the best. He directed the movie Spaceballs one of my favorite comedies of all time, as well as other classics. Blazing Saddles is one I saw after seeing his new work at the time like Robin Hood: Men in tights.

Hedly Lamarr wants to empty the town of Rock Ridge. He comes up with the plan of assigning a black sheriff so the people will want to leave and then he can take the land and build a railroad.

This film in my opinion was ahead of its time. Is a funny film both visually and because it has a funny script. It has a lot of silliness but yet brilliant comedy. Is hard to elaborate a lot on a comedy film without giving the jokes away. And comedy depends so much on the audience because not everyone likes the same kind of comedy. The movie has also funny musical scenes like a stripper singing how she is tired of men.

I believe that this movie can make you laugh and just have a good time seeing the film. It has a good cast and lots of laughs.
