The Creature Walks among us (1956)

Directed by John Sherwood

Starring Jeff Morrow, Rex Reason, Leigh Snowden

I am a huge fan of the classic monster movies and the Creature from the Black Lagoon is one of my favorites. I think the underwater scenes were ahead of their time and I loved the costume of the creature. I had never seen the other films and this one is the third and last.

The film follows a group of scientists who goes on an expedition to try and capture the Creature who had escaped from an oceanarium.

I was disappointed by the movie. The Creature has little screen time and the story and dialogue between the characters in the vessel were boring and not interesting. The first film was similar, but the Creature had more appearances as he stalked the group. And the gimmick of the Creature walking among them was not done well, it comes close to the end, too late in my opinion.

The only good scenes were the underwater scenes. But as a film I did not enjoy this one and also it felt like they changed the costume, it did not feel the same.
