Today I saw the new cut of The Godfather Coda: The death of Michael Corleone. I have always liked the third film but I was excited about this new version. The changes were subtle throughout the film and Now that I saw this version I will try to see the original to compare them. But as far as what I saw I noticed the beginning and the ending were different. The tone of the film felt different for me and the weight of Michael’s past on him did feel like the center of the story.
As far as this version goes, I liked it but just the same as I did the original. The changes for me did not make it better or worse, just interesting to see this version where a few scenes were rearranged and the ending shortened.
