Starring Emma Stone, Amanda Bynes, Stanly Tucci, Patricia Clarkson, Thomas Hayden Church
I saw this film a long time ago, but I saw that it was on Netflix and decided to see it again Because I did not remember much about the film. I am a fan of Emma Stone and this was her first leading role.
The story is about Olive. She describes herself as an invisible person in her school. She makes up a date with a college guy to avoid going on a camping trip with her friend and her parents. On Monday, when her friends ask how did the date go, she understands they had sex, and Olive not knowing someone was listening, says she did. After that, her life changes as she keeps up the lie and kept taking her new reputation further.
I enjoyed the movie, I think it’s funny but has a lot of heart in the story. I love the characters. The adult characters as well as the students are relevant to the story and make the movie fun. It’s a light coming of age that works great for a fun Friday movie to watch. The movie works great at making fun of people and gossip and how fast it can go.
Emma Stone is fantastic in the movie. She is charming and funny. I loved Stanly and Patricia as Olive’s parents, they were unique parents and funny.
This is a simple comedy film, but it is extremely enjoyable.
