Directed by Mark Jones
Starring Jennifer Aniston, Warwick Davis
I can’t say what got me to see this movie, maybe just the spirit of Halloween or just pure curiosity to see it complete because I remember scenes from it. I knew it was no pot of gold.
Grady was a man who stole good from a leprechaun and managed to lock the leprechaun in a box when he came back to get it. Years later a dad and his daughter move into the house and the leprechaun gets free and starts attacking them until he gets his gold.
I know this movie is supposed to be scary, but it made me laugh more than scream. It is one of those “horror” films that are funny to see. It has maybe that cult classic charm to it. I was entertained by the cheesiness and the leprechaun. The script is bad there is no denying that, but it’s one of those that are so bad that at the same time you can just have fun with it.
Jennifer Aniston made her film debut in this film. She is a good actress but had little to work with on this one. Davis was fun as the Leprechaun.
When I say I had fun with it, I mean I had nothing to do and I saw it and it made me laugh. By no means do I recommend the film as a series of horror movies.
