Frozen II (2019)
Directed by Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee
Starring Kirsten Bell, Idina Menzel, Jonathan Groff
The joke with Frozen was how parents got tired of Let it go and the film because of how many times our kids wanted to see the film. I have to admit that it was a very good film. The story was unique and very good and the music was also very good. When I heard of the sequel I was a little hesitant because I thought they could only ruin it.
The center of the story is that Elsa needs to discover the truth of her powers and her true purpose in order to save Arendelle. Elsa, Anna, and Kristoff embark on a journey to save their home. Elsa needs to save the Forrest by discovering the reason behind her powers.
I have to say I was surprised by the film. it was as good as the first film, not better, but just as good. I liked the story, it was funny, it had drama, adventure and it was moving at times. The love between the sisters as the center of a Disney movie is still refreshing and unique because it’s a story where the prince is important but not the main hero. Visually the film looked amazing, I really liked the animation and the underwater horse among other things looked great. One thing that was not as good this time around were the songs, the film lacked that strong song like Let it go, but putting that aside, the film was very good.
